About Pat Wilson

Pat Wilson is an Australian singer and journalist. Wilson was a journalist for the 1970s music magazine Go-Set writing under the pen-name "Mummy Cool". Usually regarded as a one hit wonder, Wilson released several singles in the early 1980s including the hit single "Bop Girl". The song was written by her then husband Ross Wilson of the band Daddy Cool, and its style and lyrics satirised 1980s fashion and pop music. It reached number two on the Australian music charts to become one of the highest selling singles of 1983
