Since "The Way Up" Pat Metheny realized various other projects. The end of the "The Way Up Tour" in 2006 was de facto also the end of the Pat Metheny Group. But then, 2012, Metheny released with Nonesuch Records "Unity Band". This was de facto the birth of the new Pat Metheny Unity Group - a quartet with changed in 2014 to a quintet. The debut album follows a second release called "Kin ()". In the year 2013 was a banner one for Pat Metheny. After being awarded his 20th Grammy
