Paso Doble is a band associated with the Neue Deutsche Welle movement, founded in 1983 by composer, music producer, and keyboardist Frank Oberpichler, born Hieber (born May 9, 1957, in Paderborn), and singer Rale Oberpichler (born December 14, 1952, in Pinneberg). The musical duo is named after the Spanish-Latin American dance paso doble (English: "double step"). After participating in and producing several musical projects during the Neue Deutsche Welle period
