About Parappa the Rapper
A critically acclaimed PS1 title released in 1997. It was one of the first music/rhythm games of its kind. The original soundtrack was composed and arranged by Masaya Matsuura. A sequel of sorts was released in 1999, starring a different main character, Um Jammer Lammy. PaRappa was featured as a playable bonus character. The game was not as successful as the original. In 2002, Parappa the Rapper 2 for Playstation 2 was released, but it failed to acquire the same level of success as the first installment.
