About Oscar Salas
Oscar started to play guitar at the age of 14 years old, self taught. It wasn't until the age of 17 years old when he enrolled to the conservatory of music "Escuela Superior de Música José Angel Lamas", in his hometown, Caracas, Venezuela. He learned classical guitar from his teacher, Professor Jose Luis Presa, along music theory. At the same time he was curious about jazz and progressive music so he attend some clases with Alvaro Falcon, a renowned guitarist in his country and Latin America
