When Kenan began writing melody-centric instrumental tunes heavily influenced by metal and jazz, he gave birth to earth7. Soon after this creation, a 3 song EP was released consisting of him playing and recording the guitar, bass, drums, and synthesizers, while also undertaking the task of mixing and mastering – all in his small home studio. But due to the intricacy of the songs, playing them live solo would have been incredibly difficult. This led to him being joined by Zev on drums
