Orchestre de Beyla
About Orchestre de Beyla
This group was founded around 1966 by the late vocalist and super star of Bembeya Jazz National, Ababacar Demba Camara & friends. The original name of Bembeya Jazz de Beyla. This band, to some extent, is the DNA of Bembeya Jazz and Guinean dance band area. While the orchestra of Beyla lived on, as did almost all other regional bands, its glory days were over as Bembeya, Balla & Les Balladins, Keletigui et les Tambourinis, and later Kamayen Sofa and Sily Authentique took over.
