About Orazio Caccini
Orazio Caccini (born 1548) was an Italian composer, composer of polyphonic music, he obtained the position of Chapel Master in Rome. Son of Michelangelo Caccini, carpenter and timber merchant. Major among his brothers Giulio Caccini and Giovanni Caccini . Orazio Caccini was baptized in Rome in the basilica of San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini on February 19, 1548. His father moved from Montopoli in Val d'Arno , his town of origin in the Florentine territory at the time, to Tivoli .
