About Omen
1. Omen is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by guitarist Kenny Powell after his departure from the band Savage Grace. Known for a melodic yet forceful style of power metal, their sound has often been compared to bands such as King Diamond, Queensrÿche, Savatage, Manowar, and Helloween. Powell’s musical influences include Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, UFO, Ronnie James Dio, Black Sabbath, and Rainbow, which shaped the band’s early releases.
