About Oleg Fesov
Oleg Fesov, born in 1963 in Badakhshan, Tadjikistan, describes his music as “an attempt to present the musical ideas of Badakhshan and the Pamir mountains to the rest of the world”. It is the intense and emotionally charged musical expression of Fesov’s voice, combined with oriental string and percussion instruments, which represents traditional music from his home country. In early 1990s in the middle of ethnic war, he left Tadjikistan and lived in emigration in Moscow
