About Okara
Okara were a three piece from Ottawa, Canada who combined punk, hardcore, jazz and country sounds into a lean mean rock’n’roll machine. They are gone but not forgotten with a legacy of seven-inches and their postumous release, the eight-song Months Like Years LP on spectrasonicsound. Matt went on to play in the Black Halos and currently plays in Black Mountain, Blood Meridian as well as a solo project. Andy went on to play in Slow Parker and makeshift and did a one-off show in an all-Mark Robinson cover band.
