About Oblate Spheroid
Oblate Spheriod formed with Jamie Simkin on Guitar and George Grant on drums in 2009. They are an experimental progressive metal band with a wide range influences in their songs ranging from extreme metal to prog rock to jazz. Their first album, Oblate Spheroid was recorded in 2010. An oblate spheroid is a rotationally symmetric ellipsoid having a polar axis shorter than the diameter of the equatorial circle whose plane bisects it.
