About NOIRSUAIRE
Noirsuaire is a French black metal band from Montségur (near Foix), in the Occitanie region at the foot of the Pyrenean mountains—specifically tied to the historic site of Montségur Castle, infamous for the 1244 burning of Cathar heretics, which adds to their atmospheric, folklore-infused darkness. The name "Noirsuaire" derives from "Noir Suaire," meaning "Black Cerecloth" (a shroud or winding sheet, often evoking death, vampirism, and coffin imagery).
