In 2010, vocal harmony groups New Kids On The Block and Backstreet Boys, both of which toured extensively together to massive success, joined together to form super-boy band NKOTBSB. They first performed together on the American Music Awards and toured throughout 2011. "Don't Turn Out the Lights" was the first single released by the super group, which went on air for the first time on Ryan Seacrest's show. The single was then released on a greatest hits collection CD in May, having five hits from each group on it, as well as on iTunes.
