About Nine Mile
Currently residing in Prince Edward County, ON, one of Canada’s artistic Mecca’s, the root of all of Nine Mile’s formations is front man and songwriter D’Ari Pouyat – the glue holding Nine Mile to task. In 2004, the Nine Mile Duo comprised of D’Ari and long-time collaborator, percussionist/drummer Dave Tolley began to tour internationally, honing their sound and releasing two albums, Close to Touch and The Almanac EP. In 2007, after one of many international tours, the duo took a break.
