About Niek van Oosterum
Niek van Oosterum (Den Helder, 16 April 1974) is a Dutch pianist. Van Oosterum took his first piano lessons at age seven. In 1987 he continued his studies with Jan Wijn at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. There he obtained his conservatory diploma with honors in June 1998. In early 2000 Niek was admitted to the Universität der Künste Berlin, where he studied with Professor Elena Lapitskaja. In 2004 he also obtained successfully his degree in Berlin.
