Originally formed in 2002, Nefastus Dies released a raw two song demo in 2005 (titled Prelude) which, along with extensive touring, proved that they belong with the likes of Necronomicon in the elite of the Canadian black metal scene. Now in 2006 they have intensified their efforts and released a fresh and inspired 7 song, 49:05 epic black metal album titled Urban Cancer and have followed that up with more touring. The two songs of their 2005 demo appear on Urban Cancer with much better production along with 5 new tracks.
