About Ned Mudd
Basic notes re: QUANTUM FILM - improvisational music and film project Five musicians gather in an equal number of sound-proof booths set up for recording. Each player has one or more instruments. A screen is set up in a central location, viewable by each player. A pre-produced film is shown on the screen. The players are instructed to spontaneously “compose” a soundtrack to whatever appears on the screen. However, no musician is able to hear what the others are playing. Intuition replaces “listening” as the mode of cooperation.
