About Myriam
Myriam Montemayor Cruz, better known as Myriam (born February 8, 1981, Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico) is a Mexican recording artist, who rose to fame by winning the first generation of La Academia. She is the seventh child out of eight. Her career began with the musical groups: Obsesión, Conspiración, Ébano, Liberación and Compass. But her dream didn't come true until 2002. She was selected for the musical reality show in México "La Academia", during each concert Myriam made the people fall in love with her beautiful and strong voice.
