About Murat Salim Tokaç
Dr. Murat Salim Tokaç was born in Kırıkkale in 1969. He graduated from Ondokuz Mayıs University Medical Faculty in 1992. He started to take the ney and ud tutors from his father Dr. Turgut Tokaç who is also a neyzen, at the age of 5. He was tutored in playing the tanbur by Selçuk Sipahioğlu, a performer at Ankara branch of TRT, for a short while at the age of 11. Having been tutored by both mentioned above, he improved his both the ney and tanbur techniques by himself via just listening to the reputed figures.
