About Munju
One could say that Munju was one of the most outstanding German Bands from 1976 to 1986. Munju from Würzburg was german kraut-jazz-rock and played originals only. Their name is a portmanteau of "Muntere Jungs" (german for "cheerful lads"). They were part of the independent musicians owned record label & distribution "Schneeball" together with Embryo, Missus Beastly, Ton Steine Scherben and some more. Munju was first and foremost a touring live band but recorded four LP's (High Speed Kindergarten, Brot und Spiele, Moon You, Le Perfectionniste)
