About Mortar and Pestle
Mortar and Pestle was an indie rock band from Greensboro, North Carolina, United States from 2002 to 2006. The band was formed by guitarist and singer Josh Kimbrough (formerly of Westfaila and Straight No Chaser and currently of Butterflies) and bassist Joe Norkus (formerly of Westfalia and Straight No Chaser currently of Embarrassing Fruits) along with pianist Katie Zickefoose and drummer Peter Lewis, whom they met while attending college at University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
