
Monique Jean is a Canadian composer of electroacoustic music born April 17, 1960 in Caraquet, New Brunswick. Monique Jean lives and works in Montreal. She studied electroacoustic composition at the University of Montreal under the supervision of Francis Dhomont. In addition to her acousmatic compositions, her works are regularly associated with video and experimental films, to dance or to facilities. Her harbor symphony Call blowers, control of Radio-Canada, was created in March 1998 at the Port of Montreal.
