
About Moe Ishii
Moe Ishii or mmm (pronounced me-my-mo), is the solo alias of Tokyo-based singer-song writer who began performing in Tokyo, 2006. With her unique bilingual sense of rhythm and words she sings about the world and its days that are ephemeral. Her style is influenced by singers such as Cat Power, Feist, Tara Jane O’Neil, Meiko Kaji, Sachiko Kanenobu and Maki Asakawa. She has played in Korea in 2016 and NY in 2017, and in 2019 she toured Europe with Emerson KITAMURA. She also takes translating jobs (EN-JP vice versa).
