About Modill
Chicago locals Racecar and K-Kruz originally formed underground hip-hop group Modill as a MC-producer pair in 2003 before joined by ThaiOne Davis in 2004. Drawing from Native Tongue-rap, jazz, and Chicago soul and electronica, producer/drummer K-Kruz shapes the group's breezy and progressive sounds for Racecar's and Davis' introspective commentary. Racecar first met Evanston, IL, native K-Kruz after becoming a member of Chicago hip-hop band FreeBasic, whose drummer was K-Kruz, in 2000.
