About Mirt
mirt is the leader of the great polish ensemble, one inch of shadow. his solo recordings have a more organic side to them. they bring to mind memories of moss and ivy climbing up the side of an old stone bridge; images of warsaw in autumn. in all of this, though, is a distinct mechanical underbelly that reminds us that we are, in fact, in the city. mechanical vs organic. it's all here. Another Mirt is an electro-acoustic project made up of the joint forces of the Finnish singer Minttu Hellstén and the Icelandic cellist Björt Rùnars.
