
About Miki Hirayama
Miki Hirayama 平山三紀 ( born August 22 , 1949 ) is a Japanese singer. In 1970 , she debuted with " Beautiful Yokohama ," and her nasally, husky voice drew attention. (Composer Kyohei Tsutsumi had originally wanted to put the B-side, "Sayonara no Blues," on the A-side.) The following year, in 1971, her second single, "Manatsu no Jiken," was a huge hit, peaking at number 5 on the Oricon charts . Her follow-up, " Noah's Ark ," also sold 100,000 copies, and she joined the ranks of star singers.
