About Mike Rud
Mike Rud is a jazz guitarist and music teacher currently living in Montreal. Mike was 11 when he first picked up the guitar and by age 18, his interest had focused specifically on jazz. In 1988, he completed a performance diploma at Edmonton's Grant MacEwan College, and proceeded on to a Bachelor of Music degree at Montreal's McGill University, graduating in 1992. In 1994, Mike attended the Banff International Jazz Workshop at the Banff Centre for the Arts, studying with greats of modern jazz such as Don Thompson and Norma Winstone.
