Raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sarratt grew up in a military family and faced various relocations, which instilled adaptability and resilience. He was diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, which influenced his approach to music and creativity. In high school, he began producing music in his bedroom, initially under the alias $uspect, and later adopting the stage name midwxst.
