About Melys
Melys (translation "Sweet") is a Welsh indie-rock band from Betws-y-Coed. Formed in 1996, the band went on hiatus from 2005-2009. Much loved by the legendary British DJ John Peel, core members are Andrea Parker (vocals), Paul Adams (guitar and keyboards), Carys Jones (keyboards) and Gary Husband. Between 1996 and 2005 they released five full-length albums plus numerous other recordings. Their debut album, 'Rumours and Curses', came out in 1998 on Arctic/Pinnacle records
