About Maubere Timor
Maubere Timor is an ensemble composed of Timor-Leste musicians formed in 2014 to revive East Timorese resistance music. Much of their music has its origins among the resistance group, FALINTIL, whose members wrote songs of independence, nationalism, and liberation. These songs served as an important medium of communication among themselves, and spread awareness of their struggle internationally.
