
About Matteo da Perugia
Matteo da Perugia [Matheus de Perusio] (d. in or before Jan. 1418) was a Medieval Italian composer, presumably from Perugia. From 1402-1407 he was the first magister cappellae of the Milan Cathedral. His duties included being cantor and teaching three boys selected by the Cathedral deputies. He was at the papal court in Bologna from 1409 to 1414. Little is known about his life apart from this. Writing in what is now called the Ars subtilior style
