However, behind his bedraggled appearance and self-deprecating humour lies Australian hip-hop’s preeminent lyricist. Mathas is a social commentator whose lyrics create alternative landscapes on the back of a sharp wit. His characters mirror our flaws and his stories ring truer than our daily headlines.
