About Matchbox Messiah
Matchbox Messiah formed in early 2006, under the name "In Darkness Waits". After recording several demos that were never widely released, Casey changed his "band" name to Matchbox Messiah in early 2007. The "band" went through a few musical stylings, (hard rock, soft rock, shoegaze, experimental) until settling on what it is now; a mix of the quirky Regina Spektor and a broodier Amanda Palmer. Recording a handful of "demo albums" - all under the name of "In Darkness Waits"
