In 1999 Masai Bey made his lyrical production and scratching debut simultaneously on a 12inch, alongside Cage and Space titled "Paranoid Android", released in England on DC Records. This would be the beginning of The Weathermen, which was at the time a production duo consisting of Masai and Cage. This alliance, along with his lyrical presence, resulted in contributing vocals to Cage's "And So Kiddies…", co-production on "Mersh" on Bobbito Garcia's Fondle 'Em Records and the hook on Smut Peddlers "For The Record" on Rawkus Records.
