About Masafumi Ogata
Masafumi Ogata (尾形 雅史) is a former composer for Sega who worked on several early Sonic the Hedgehog games. He is notable for composing the opening theme, "Sonic - You Can Do Anything", for Sonic the Hedgehog CD. Ogata's first work in the Sonic series was for the 8-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, where he was credited as "Gatao". In that game, the background music for the stage Green Hills Zone contained an early version of the song that would become "Sonic - You Can Do Anything".
