There are 2 bands called Marquis de Sade. One was a short-lived French new wave/post-punk band, formed in Rennes, France in 1977. They released two albums, "Dantzig Twist" in 1979 and "Rue de Siam" in 1981. They disbanded after their last concert on April 1981. Lineup: Philippe Pascal - lyrics and vocals Frank Darcel - guitars Thierry Alexandre - bass Eric Morinière - drums Anzia - guitars Another was a British NWOBHM band, who released the "Somewhere Up in the Mountains" 7" in 1981.
