Mark Spiro (born Mark Stuart Spiro on 27 March 1957; died 30 March 2024) was an American songwriter, record producer, Only releasing solo material sporadically, he is remembered for providing songs to such artists as Julian Lennon, Cheap Trick, John Waite, Heart, Lila McCann, Laura Branigan, Bad English, Lita Ford, and Giant, as well as REO Speedwagon, Mr. Big, Heart, Kansas, Winger, and Bad English. Spiro was born and raised in Seattle, Washington.
