About Marilyn Nonken
Marilyn Nonken is a classical pianist based in New York, and is known for her recordings and performances of many modern and contemporary composers. She has recorded the complete piano works of Tristan Murail (who has written for her), and piano works of David Rakowski, Morton Feldman, Olivier Messiaen and several others. She has recorded for New World, Kairos, Tzadik, Innova and other labels that emphasize contemporary work. She is currently Director of Piano Studies at New York University's Steinhardt School, and is a Steinway Artist.
