About Mariko Senju
Mariko Senju (千住真理子) is one of the most popular violinists in Japan. She is a sister of Akira Senju. Born April 3, 1962, is a Japanese violinist. Japan Arts affiliation. Record label, EMI Music Japan (now Universal Music). Keio University Faculty of Letters Department of Philosophy graduate. Started with the violin at the age of 2, as 11 year-old studied under Toshiya Eto. Won in 1972 the all Japan Student Music Competition and won second place in Tokyo elementary school tournament.
