About María Villalón
María Villalón (born in Ronda, Málaga, Spain on 1 April 1989), is a Spanish singer and most notably the winner of the first series of Spanish version of The X Factor in 2007. Maria grew singing from an early age. She studied at the music conservatory learning playing the cello when she was 10. In 2006 she took part in Bienvenidos on Canal Sur and in selection rounds of Operación Triunfo where she reached the top 90 of the Spanish singing competition before being dropped.
