Margery Louise Allingham (May 20, 1904 - June 30, 1966) was a writer born in Ealing in London, England who produced many novels, short stories, and plays, mainly in the crime and mystery genres. She is best known as creator of the detective/adventurer Albert Campion. Albert Campion is a fictional character in a series of detective novels and short stories by Margery Allingham. He first appeared as a supporting character in The Crime at Black Dudley (1929)
