About Marc Perrone
Born in the suburbs of Paris, Marc Perrone is of Italian origin. He discovered the diatonic accordion, or melodeon, during a Cajun concert at the Fête de l'Huma (the yearly fair of the French Communist Party), in the early 1970s. He became a folk musician, touring with Occitan band Perlimpinpin Folc, and collected tunes and songs in rural southern France. He is now well-known for his solo career, which also led him to appear in several films.
