About Mapocho Orquesta
Solo artists from the second and third generations of musicians who were initially trained in the Conchalí Big Band have been part of this big band project led by tenor sax player Andrés Pérez since 2014. Known in its first moments as the "historical Conchalí", the new big band soon took the name of Mapocho Orquesta, inspired by a neighborhood in the center of Santiago where it set up its rehearsal headquarters.
