The Malleus Maleficarum (Latin for "The Hammer of Witches") is a famous treatise on witches, written in 1486. There are multiple bands using this name. The description for the French band, which seems to dominate this page: Formed in 1997 in La Rochelle, following the split of AUTOPSY (deaththrash). At this time the band featured Mastema (vocals), Ahriman (bass), Tamas (Guitars) and Nicolas (Drums formerly known as S.N.) 1997-1999: In March 1999, a second guitarist, Chtulhu, join the band.
