About Mai Lệ Huyền
Mai Lệ Huyền (born 1946) is a Vietnamese singer and actress. She has often been accredited as a pioneer female singer of rock and roll music of Vietnam. Born as Nguyen Thi Kim Cuc to Laotian-Vietnamese intermarried parents, she started her professional singing career at the age of 17 when she relocated to Saigon from her hometown of Binh Long. At one of her earliest steady performing gigs, Van Canh music venue in Saigon, she had befriended several musicians such as Dinh Viet Lang
