About Mack Sigis Porter
A black african artist, born in Ghana during the English colonial occupation, Mack Porter moved to Netherlands and then to Italy in the late 60's, releasing here four pop and soul-oriented singles for the small Naples label Fans. In 1969 he won the Un disco per l'Europa song contest in Lugano, Switzerland. Signed to RiFi he made a concept album in 1972, under the name of Mack Sigis Porter, called Peace on you, strongly inspired by psych and slightly progressive atmospheres
