About Machinations
Machinations was a Sydney-based Australian pop band in the early 1980s. Notable national hits included "Pressure Sway", "My Heart's On Fire" and "No Say In It". Band Members: Fred Loneragan (vocals) Tim Doyle (guitar) Nick Swan (bass) Tony Starr (keyboards) Initially, the band used a drum machine, but changed to a human drummer before the Big Music album. Drummers used were: Warren McLean 1983-1986 Henry Downes 1986-1987 John Mackay 1987-1989 The band used female backing vocalists on several releases and tours.
