
About Lynwood Slim
Lynwood Slim, born Richard Duran in Los Angeles, California on August 19th, 1953, is best known as a blues harmonica player and singer. He also also plays flute, composes, and produces and engineer recordings. Slim started playing harmonica at 15. His early influences include Jimmy Reed, Little Walter and Big Walter Horton. He played the Los Angeles music scene, sitting in with Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson and others, then moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1977.
