
About Lydia Kavina
Lydia Kavina (Лидия Кавина) was Theremin's last protege and now the world's leading theremin virtuoso. Kavina began studing the theremin at the tender age of nine under the instruction of Lev Theremin himself. Born in 1967 in Moscow, she began performing at age of 14. She studied composition at the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow, where she finished her postgraduate degree in 1997. She gaves regulary lessons on the theremin at the Theremin Centre of Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
